Modeste Parisienne

All my jewelry is designed and handmade by me. I use only precious metals such as sterling silver and 14kgf , with the occasional use of solid 14k and 18K gold, to showcase a wide array of top gemstones in the most beautiful colors and contemporary cuts. The end result is a rainbow of color and sparkle, BUT on a tiny scale. I design with the goal to create pieces that are discrete but stylish, affordable and highly wearable.

I have the great luck of living and working in the most beautiful NewEngland seaside village, an area rich in history, arts and naturalbeauty, surrounded by my family and two silly German Shepherds.Originally a painter, I used to spend months on huge commissionedmurals...only to discover how amazingly rewarding the tiny work ofjewelry design was. That was the point of no return and my paintbrushes have since gathered quite a bit of dust!

I sketch my ideas all the time; I have hundreds of those! Yet, in theend, the gems themselves dictate the final solution. The most simpledesigns can be deceptive and I do spend quite a lot of time shufflingelements around, changing size, cut, color, placement. As a result, mywork table is incredibly messy, joyfully chaotic, totally covered withgems, tools, wires, metal elements. Out of disorder, happy accidentsoccur and magic happens.

I'll add that I do not propose gems, whether modest or rarefied, that Iwould not wear myself. I let my eyes dictate my choices. I will gushover exceptional, flawless stones but I can also find beauty in moreorganic precious and semi-precious gemstones, some actually because oftheir inclusions!
Most important of all though, is that you should be very happy too withyour new piece of jewelry. So be assured that I am only an email away.
